About the Role
Position Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) responsibilities combine both administrative and clinical care services. This multi-skilled role includes appointment scheduling, greets patients and visitors, registration for patients, updating demographic information, and receiving co-payments for patient visits. The CMA will assist physicians in delivering excellent patient care to our community.

Patient check-in and check-out
Patient scheduling
Precerts & Authorizations
Prescription refill authorizations
Chart preparation
Phone triage
Patient care
Prepare/ administer oral/intramuscular medications as directed
Perform ECG’s
Perform basic laboratory tests
Regulatory compliance
Charge entry
Coding accuracy
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Core Competencies
Ability to learn and perform complexities of scheduling
Demonstrated experience making triage decisions
Effectively able to build relationships
Successful in driving results and using sound judgment
Must be efficient with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Excellent communication skills
Ensures and maintains the confidentiality of patient information and other WrightCare business information in accordance with HIPAA and other compliance standards.
Complies with the Code of Conduct and other established policies, including but not limited to compliance, quality, and safety.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Required
2- 4 years of clerical work experience in medical setting Required
Medical Certification such as a CMA, or Phlebotomist is Required (If candidate is not certified, they must be able to obtain certification within 180 days of employment)
